The apparatus has a rotatable system (32), two associated mechanisms and two foot support elements, where each associated mechanism incorporates two partial mechanisms (30, 31) that are connected with each foot support element at a location with the rotatable system and at a location with scaffold. Each support element is connected with the scaffold at a location over a supplementary connection. The partial mechanisms are moved parallel to each other, and comprise stiff elements and joints. The partial mechanisms are adjustable in lengths.
