Liquid chromatography fluorescence detector for detecting component of fluid sample in e.g. life science apparatus, for separating component of fluid sample, has detection channel detecting fluorescence radiation
The detector (300) has electromagnetic radiation sources (302, 304, 306) generating monochromatic electromagnetic radiation. A flow cell (308) is designed to provide a fluid sample such that the monochromatic electromagnetic radiation interacts with the fluid sample. A detection channel (310) detects the fluorescence radiation that is generated by interaction of the monochromatic electromagnetic radiation with the fluidic sample. The radiation sources are arranged in a source plane that is vertically extended along a detection direction. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a sample separating apparatus for separating a component of a fluidic sample, comprising a fluorescence detector (2) a method for detecting fluorescence radiation in a sample separating apparatus.
