The metal- or ceramic powder-electric press comprises: a stamp arrangement (16), which is adjustably arranged for pressing a powder and/or granules in a die (13) to a pressed part; a spindle drive motor (22); a spindle assembly drivably arranged by the spindle drive motor from a spindle wheel and a spindle (21), where the spindle assembly of the stamp arrangement is adjustably formed to a drive direction in or opposite to a pressing direction; a position determining device, which determines a position of the stamp arrangement and provides a position signal; and a control device. The metal- or ceramic powder-electric press comprises: a stamp arrangement (16), which is adjustably arranged for pressing a powder and/or granules in a die (13) to a pressed part; a spindle drive motor (22); a spindle assembly drivably arranged by the spindle drive motor from a spindle wheel and a spindle (21), where the spindle assembly of the stamp arrangement is adjustably formed to a drive direction in or opposite to a pressing direction; a position determining device, which determines a position of the stamp arrangement and provides a position signal; a control device, which is designed or programmed depending on the drive direction in the pressing direction from the position signal by the spindle drive motor and spindle arrangement of the stamp arrangement to adjust a pressing end position, where the spindle wheel and the spindle adjoin to each other at a circumferential section in the pressing end position of the stamp arrangement; and a transfer arrangement, which is adjustably arranged to a displacement amount and a rotational position of the spindle wheel and the spindle relatively adjusted to each other during adjustment to the displacement amount in the pressing end position of the stamp arrangement. The transfer arrangement is configured such that during the adjustment of the displacement amount in the pressing end position of the stamp arrangement, the spindle wheel and the spindle adjoins with each other at the circumferential section different from the other circumferential section. The transfer arrangement: is arranged between the spindle arrangement and a pressing stamp connected with the stamp arrangement; and displaceably arranges relative to each other on the one hand of the spindle and on the other hand of the stamp in the pressing direction to the displacement amount, or on the one hand of the spindle wheel or a component carrying the spindle wheel and on the other hand of the spindle in a direction parallel to a longitudinal extension of the spindle to the displacement amount. The spindle wheel is a wheel or a roller of wheels or rollers of a screw drive such as roller screw drive or planetary gear. The transfer arrangement has two components adjustably transverse to the pressing direction relative to each other, where the components adjoin to each other by an oblique plain or contact surface and are rotatably arranged for adjusting the displacement amount relative to each other. An independent claim is included for a method of controlling a metal- or ceramic powder-electric press.
