The device (1) has a washstand (3) surrounding a washbasin (2) and made of wood, wood-like material, plastic or plastic-like material. The washstand is attached at the washbasin by fastening elements (6) e.g. fastening screws (7, 8), and another fastening element (9) i.e. angle bracket. The washbasin is attached at a wall-sided hanger bolt (25), where the complete sanitary device is suspended at the bolt. Two through-holes (20) or basin recesses (5) are formed at a front end of the washbasin and/or at a wall-sided end of the washbasin at an end region (19) of the washbasin.
