The method involves determining a force effect of a wind direction (180) with respect to a land vehicle based on navigation information and wind information, which is read by a telematics device. Energy expenditure information is determined based on the determined force effect. Entire energy expenditure information is formed for driving the vehicle in one of routes (100, 110) between a starting point (120) and a destination point (130) by a driver using a control unit of a driver assistance system of the vehicle. The navigation information includes position, alignment and driving speed of the vehicle. The wind information includes position- and/or time-dependent meterological- related wind speed and/or position- and/or time-dependent meterological-related wind direction.
