The method involves down obstructing arm and positioning of an arm jib on a transfer car and releasing a pivoted connection in break point of the split arm, where a lower arm part is down obstructed. An upper arm part is pivoted around a pivoted axis within the break point of the arm opposite to the lower arm part, where a crane is shifted to the destination. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a joint grid unit for a split arm; and (2) a mobile crane, particularly especially narrow gauge crawler crane.
