The control system (2) has control program (4) connected to graphical user interface (6) connected with display unit (8). The interface comprises dialogs in which dialog objects are incorporated. A library stores control sequences for monitoring state change of dialog objects. The doctrine-modules are provided with action lists comprising control sequences. A doctrine management module (16) activates action list of one doctrine-module, to process control sequences of respective action list. The result of processed control sequences is displayed in display unit. An independent claim is included for method for configuring and operating command and weapon control system.
