The electrical energy is transferred by an electromagnetic transmission unit (30). The distance (44) between the transmission unit and a radiation-sensitive component (40) such as electro-medical device or implant such as pacemaker, brain pacemaker and breathing device, is detected by a distance determining unit (36). The transmission of the electrical energy is interrupted when the distance is below a predefined distance (49).
