The device (1) has a drive unit (2) for adjusting a flap (4), and a one-piece holder (5) arranged in a flap housing (3) for connecting the drive unit with the flap housing, where the holder is made of a one-piece metal sheet. A fastening device (6) e.g. screw connector and releasable detent connector, is provided with a connector (7) e.g. screw and nut, for releasably connecting the drive unit with the holder. The holder is constructed and arranged such that the holder partially covers an operation part i.e. screw head, of the connector while viewing from the flap housing.
