The bed has a contact system (9) attached to a side of a lying area and provided for generating electrical signal indicating allocation of a care person. The contact system is connected with motors (7, 8) for transmitting the electrical signal for controlling the lowering of the bed. Height adjustment systems (5, 6) are driven by the motors, where the motors are integrated into a mattress bearing frame (1) of head and base parts (3, 4). The contact system is arranged between the head and base parts, and a mattress (2) is attached to the bearing frame.
