The bearing (12) has terminal portion (42) in which fluid channels (54,60) are formed. The peripheral projection (36) which is formed between circumferential grooves (28,30) of shaft, projects into peripheral recess (66) to form thrust bearing for preventing flow of fluid between annular channels (52,50) formed between circumferential projection (48) and circumferential groove (30). The seal rings (68,70) are inserted in circumferential grooves (26,32) to prevent leakage of fluid from annular channel (50) between cam shaft and bearing.
