The seal core is provided in the chamber of a liquid head (6). The seal core is made from a polymeric material e.g. ultrahigh-molecular-weighty polyethylene. The seal core is in contact with a hole with an aperture. External dimensions of the seal core are smaller than the chamber. The external dimensions of a poetry kernel are larger than the chamber. An independent claim is also included for a method for sealing a piston or a plunger.
