The device (1) has a mass bolt (3) arranged in an electrically insulating housing (2) and connected to a jump starter or a battery charger. The mass bolt is connected to a bus bar (4) in an electrically conducting manner. The bus bar is connected with a steel body part (7) of a motor car in an electrically conducting manner. The housing and the mass bolt are connected with an aluminum body part (6) of the motor car in an electrically insulating manner. The bus bar is partially coated with plastic, and a swingable or removable lid covers the housing.
