The antenna has an array of printed block type radiating elements (10) and a calibration unit for calibrating the antenna. Each element receives linearly polarized excitation (19). The calibration unit includes an excitation unit to excite the elements with linear polarization (21) orthogonal to the linearly polarized excitation of the nominal use of the antenna, where the excitation unit consists of a printed line (20). The elements are arranged opposite to a ground plane (13) in which the excitation intended for the nominal use of the antenna traverses the ground plane.
