The beater-mixer has a base that receives a mixture bowl (16). A head is connected to the base. The bowl has a bottom (20) having the shape of a truncated torus. A tool (15) is provided for moving a planetary gear. The tool and the bowl are arranged such that an envelope generated by a tool path is at a distance orthogonal with an interior wall (26) of an annular groove (22), where the orthogonal distance is between 85 and 115 percent of a nominal value, and nominal value is between 2 and 4 mm.
