The method involves providing a near field transaction device (TT) e.g. ticket issuing machine, and a portable device (HD2) e.g. mobile phone, comprising near-field communication unit (NFCC). A transaction server (SV1) is provided with a memory zone comprising an application program. A data link (CX2) is established between the server and the communication unit. The application program is utilized to conduct a transaction with the transaction device. A media is utilized as a relay contact to close a transaction terminal. An independent claim is also included for a system for performing near-field communication transaction.
