The case (1) has a rectangular paperboard piece comprising first slots (4c', 4d') formed parallel to second slots (4a-4d) formed over the piece width along a direction transversal to a main direction of the piece. The first slots define folds of the piece to form edges, respectively. A maintaining unit (10) maintains a front side (6), a rear side (8) and lateral sides (7, 9) of the piece in folded positions. A space (delta) between one of the second slots and one of the first slots formed close to the second slot is equal to a space between the other second slot and other first slot.
