The locker (1) has an outer frame (3) that is closed by a hinged door (5) provided with an electric lock (10). The lock is remote controlled to be locked/unlocked, and includes a striker (20) provided with a power supply and an electromagnet cooperating with the frame. The power supply includes a rechargeable battery for feeding energy to the electromagnet, and a step-up converter for supplying the battery with an output voltage twice higher than voltage used in the battery and nominal voltage of the electromagnet. An independent claim is also included for a method for supplying power to a striker of an electric lock of a door of a locker.
