PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a leather product in which a penetrated hole is opened from leather without forming a laceration.;SOLUTION: The device for producing the leather product includes a punching bar 10 and a flat plate B (pedestal). The punching bar 10 is set in a direction perpendicular to the pressing direction P1 of a tip surface 11 to a leather L, and the angle of the outside surface 12 to the tip surface 11 is set at the right angle or at an acuter angle compared to the right angle. The leather L is nipped between the flat plate B and the tip surface 11 facing a place contacting with the leather L, and crushed without inserting the punching bar 10 into the leather L. The method for producing the penetrated hole-opened leather product from the leather L comprises the first step for flatly spreading the leather L to expose the surface L1 side of the leather L, the second step for pressing the punching bar 10 in a direction perpendicular to the surface L1 of the leather L in a state in which the tip surface 11 of the punching bar 10 is parallel to the surface L1 of the leather L, thus forming a depressed hole L3 on the surface L1 side of the leather L, and the third step for removing the back surface L2 of the leather L to process the depressed hole L3 into the penetrated hole.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
