PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for determining whether maintenance of an electronic component mounting device is required, and a method for determining wether maintenance is required, capable of properly determining whether maintenance is required by monitoring respective performances of a suction nozzle and a part feeder with a simple method.;SOLUTION: A first step capability index indicating aligning accuracy in every unit suction combination of a suction nozzle and a part feeder is calculated from detection history data obtained by continuously detecting a suction displacement amount of electronic components. A second step capability index indicating individual positioning accuracy of each of the suction nozzle and the part feeder is calculated on the basis of the data of the plural first step capability indices calculated for the plural unit suction combinations, so as to individually determine whether maintenance of the suction nozzles and the part feeders is required on the basis of the data of the calculated second step capability index.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
