PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy of measurement of a tilted fiber Bragg grating.;SOLUTION: A method for producing a tilted fiber Bragg grating includes: exposing coherent laser beam (2a) in a 250 nm wavelength band, which has passed through a phase mask (14) formed with recesses/protrusions at preset intervals, to a core (15a) of an optical fiber (15) in a state where a longitudinal direction thereof is tilted to a direction of approaching/separating with respect to a surface (14a) to which light of the phase mask (14) is to be exposed, thereby producing the tilted fiber Bragg grating (15d) in which refractive indices of the core (15a) of the optical fiber (15) are periodically different along the longitudinal direction of the optical fiber (15) and parts with the different refractive indices are tilted to the longitudinal direction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
