P To provide composite powder improved in the storage stability of an alkali metal silicate and a detergent composition containing the composite powder. PSOLUTION: (1) Composite particles (B) are provided which are obtained by spray-granulating a mixed aqueous solution of a lithium salt or lithium hydroxide and a water-soluble salt other than the same. (2) The composite powder comprises alkali metal silicate particles (A) and the composite particles (B), wherein the particles (A) have a composition represented by formula (1): xMSB2/SBO-ySiOSB2/SB-zMeO (wherein M is Na and/or K and Me is Ca and/or Mg), and the mass ratio of the particles (A) to the composite particles (B) is 1/9 to 99/1.
