PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for calculating behaviors of many aggregated particles by considering the form of each particle and mechanical characteristics thereof. PSOLUTION: The forms of a particle i and an object j are defined by a polyhedron. A contact of the particle i to the object j is decided to extract an apex of the particle i sinking into a surface of the object j and a point on a side of the particle i sinking into a side of the object j as contact points of the particle i to the object j and to calculate sinking directions and quantities of the sinking of the extracted contact points, respectively. A contact reaction applied to each contact point of the particle i is calculated from the calculated quantity of sinking. The movement of the particle i with the elapse of time is calculated from the calculated contact reaction by using a Newton's equation of motion and an Euler's equation of motion.
