PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating waste water containing fluorine and sulfuric acid, which is suitable when the waste water containing fluorine and sulfuric acid is passed through a calcium carbonate-packed column to treat the contained fluorine. PSOLUTION: The method for treating waste water containing fluorine and sulfuric acid in the calcium carbonate-packed column 30 includes: a condensed phosphate addition step of adding condensed phosphate to the waste water; and a fluorine treatment step of passing the condensed phosphate-added waste water through the calcium carbonate-packed column, and further has a pH adjustment step of adjusting the pH of the condensed phosphate-added waste water in the preceding stage of the fluorine treatment step. At the pH adjustment step, it is preferable to adjust the pH of the waste water within (the reference pH)±0.5 when all of fluorine contained in the waste water are converted into hydrofluoric acid so as not to contain other components.
