Background area recognition method, the background region recognition device, and the background area recognition program

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a background zone recognition method and a background zone recognition system capable of realizing recognition of a background in a simple system in spite of existence of objects other than the background intended to recognize, and a background zone recognition program for making a computer operate as the background zone recognition system. PSOLUTION: A target shape similar to a specific kind of a photographed subject repetitively appeared in a plurality of imaged subjects at numerous dimensions is determined from the plurality of images obtained by repetitively taking photograph of the subjects by a fixedly installed camera while sampling position information on field angles of the camera, an appearance zone about the photographed subject is recognized, and a zone excluding the appearance zone at the field angle of the camera is recognized as a background zone.
