PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a period of time, which is required for repairing a portion to be repaired of a machine component.;SOLUTION: The repairing method includes: a removing step of removing a defect having occurred in the portion to be repaired in the machine component 1; and a building-up step of generating a pulsed electric discharge between the defect-removed portion 5e in the machine component 1 and a shaped electrode 35 in a solution having electrical insulation characteristics or in the air by using the shaped electrode 35 which is composed of a compact formed from a metal powder or its heat-treated compact, making a material of the shaped electrode 35 or a substance formed by a reaction of the material deposit on the defect-removed portion 5e of the machine component 1, by the discharge energy, and forming a porous build-up thereon.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
