METHOD FOR BURNING THE FIRST AND SECOND ENDS OF A PLURALITY OF CONDUCTING BARS POSITIONED WITH SLIDES IN A STACK OF STEEL DISCS FIRST AND SECOND END RINGS TO MAKE A ROTOR FOR A MOTOR ROTOR A plurality of conductor bars are positioned within slots of a stack of rolled steel discs, and the ends of the conductor bars are brazed to end rings to make a rotor. The method includes inserting the conductor bars into the disc stack slots, providing the slotted end rings to receive the ends of the conductor bars; position brazing material spacers adjacent to each end of each of the conductor bars to create a gap between the end rings and the stack of steel discs, and apply heat to fuse the brazing material from the spacers whereby the brazing material brazing material spacers are provided to braze the first and second ends of the conductor bars on the first and second end rings. Channels are provided on the face of the end rings facing the stack of steel discs to drain out excess brazing material.
