A polymer composition comprising: a) component 1 containing a prepolymer with terminal silane groups, and b) component 2 containing water, and c) component 3 containing a silanol condensation catalyst. The composition is packaged in at least two separate packages before application, in which none of the packages contains all three components 1, 2 and 3. In the composition, water is present in an amount of from 0.01 to 10 parts by weight. per 100 parts by weight the prepolymer present in the composition and the apparent viscosity of each packet is not more than 95 Pa ∙ s (Brookfeld viscosity (A / 6/10)) in accordance with ISO 2555 at 23 ° C.
