METHOD FOR TREATING PATIENTS IN THE SECOND PERIOD OF ACUTE PANCREATITIS

A method for treating the patients in the second period of the acute pancreatitis provides for computed tomography and the surgery itself. The size and location of the fluid containing structures and the state of the fascias are evaluated. When the natural fascias are broken, laparotomy is performed. When the size of fluid containing structures exceeds 100 mm, the closed external puncture draining under sonographic control is performed. When the size of fluid containing structures is less than 100 mm, the conservative treatment is indicated.
