A method for improving the tribological properties of the friction pairs involves formation of protective layer on the friction surface of the contacting pairs by the methods of chemical-thermal treatment. In addition grooves are formed by mechanical means on the friction surface, on the edges of which grooves a magnetic field is formed in the process of tribosystem operation.
