Method for producing an animal bed from biomass based on agricultural waste, forestry waste, forestry mass, seaweed, or plant crops, inter alia,which comprises the steps of: gathering and preliminary preparation of the biomass; initial screening of said biomass to obtain a mean particle size of at most 30 mm; grinding of the biomass rejected in the preceding step; a second screening; and storage of the screened biomass at a level of at most 20% humidity with protection against inclement weather; and animal bed that comprises biomass and, optionally, filler material and disinfectants.
