Multi-band microwave band-pass filter with an arbitrary number of step bands. This structure is formed by cascading several blocks. The cross-sectional signal interference sections, based on two parallel transmission lines (2 and 4), give the multi-band filter action to the total circuit. The input and output stages (1 and 5) are adaptive transmission lines that minimize losses of power return in the passbands. The intermediate element (3) is a transmission line that allows the proper connection of the interference sections to increase the rejection of out-of-band power. It is a compact and high selectivity filter topology, suitable as a band selector circuit in multi-channel communications applications and multi-frequency radar systems.
