A piece of luggage thatincludes a main body portion havinga front and a back and a system formounting the piece of luggage on anobject. The system includes at leastfirst and second receivers attached tothe front of the main body portion, ahorizontally oriented band and first andsecond rods. The horizontally orientedband includes a plurality of verticallyoriented passages defined therethrough.The first receiver and one of thepassages cooperate to define a first pathand the second receiver and one of thepassages cooperate to define a secondpath. The first and second rods are eachrespectively removably received in thefirst and second paths. In a preferredembodiment, the band includes a middlesection having a vertically oriented slotdefined therein and two adjustmentsections extending outwardly from themiddle section. A plurality of verticallyoriented passages are defined througheach of the adjustment sections andthe mounting system also includes avertically oriented strap extending fromthe front of the main body portion that isadapted to be received in the verticallyoriented slot.
