A wearable device for providing a warning that a wearer is immersed in waterisdisclosed. It is in the form of a band dimensioned to fit around a person'sneck. The bandis provided with an FM transmitter, and means to power the FM transmitter.Circuitmeans are configured with the FM transmitter and include a resistor capacitoraudiooscillator having a probe extending therefrom for providing a first resistancewhen theprobe is in air, and a second resistance when the probe is in water. Theoscillator sendsa different signal to the FM transmitter depending on the electricalresistanceencountered by the probe.
