INTERACTIVE ELECTRONIC TECHNICAL MANUAL SYSTEM AND METHOD

Methods and systems are provided for an interactive electronic technicalmanualsystem. A system includes a user interface for receiving input from a user andprovidingoutput to the user. A database stores instructions associated with tasks. Thesystem alsoincludes a diagnostic reasoner for receiving commands, controlling an externaldevice inresponse to the commands to implement a test of the external device, andsensing signalsassociated with the test of the external device. The system further includesan interfacemodule in communication with the user interface, the database, and thediagnostic reasoner.The interface module sends instructions associated with tasks to the userinterface from thedatabase, conveys commands from the user interface to the diagnostic reasoner,receivesdata associated with the signals sensed by the diagnostic reasoner, andanalyzes the dataassociated with the signals.
