A system and a method for intelligently managing waiting lists and othersimilar lists forservice providers are disclosed. The system is configured for customer torequest thescheduling of at least one appointment, to schedule one or more appointmentsof acustomer, to store the information related to the customer in a database, tomanage thedifferent intelligent waiting list and to confirm and notify the customer whenanappointment is automatically assign. Generally, the system is configured to beused overa communication network such as the Internet to allow a customer to beelectronicallynotified of the scheduling of an appointment.
