Provided is a metal insert-molded article (1) which has excellent airtightness, and does not require a metal surface to receive surface processing for causing adhesion with a molding material. A metal material (3), which has an aspect ratio in a cross-section perpendicular to the lengthwise direction thereof of 1-10, inclusive, is insert-molded by using a molding material (2) containing a crystalline, thermoplastic resin as the principal component thereof, and containing an organic filler in the amount of 0-15 wt%, inclusive.
