METHOD AND DEVICE FOR IMPLEMENTING MAPPING AND DEMAPPING OF OTN SERVICE

A method and a device for implementing mapping and demapping of an OTN service. The mapping method is applicable to a process in which a low-rate level service is mapped to a high-rate level service, and comprises: caching service data to be mapped; according to rate levels before and after mapping, selecting a corresponding mapping mode, then according to the selected mapping mode and the amount of currently cached data, generating corresponding adjustment overhead, and based on the adjustment overhead and the mapping mode, encapsulating the cached service data, the adjustment overhead and a generated frame header into a frame and sending the frame. The mapping mode comprises: an asynchronous mapping mode and a universal mapping mode. Through the foregoing technical solution, the implementation of the mapping/demapping function becomes relatively simple and is also expandable, so that the technical solution can be conveniently applied in the implementation of mapping and demapping of higher rate services that might be introduced in future standards.
