METHOD AND IMPLEMENTATION SYSTEM FOR UPGRADING CUSTOMER PREMISES EQUIPMENT (CPE) VERSIONS IN PARALLEL

Disclosed are a method and implementation system for upgrading CPE versions in parallel, said method comprising: a line card receives a request of version file fragments sent by at least one set of CPE, the request at least comprising names of file fragments and offset values of file fragments, and a corresponding request address index is generated according to the names of file fragments and the offset values of file fragments comprised in the request (100). The line card matches the request address index according to a locally stored address index table, and sends to the requesting CPE the file fragment content stored in a fragment cache region corresponding to the successfully matched address index (200). The present method and system enable a line card of central office network element equipment, in conditions of limited memory, to implement the function of updating the versions of several types of CPE in parallel, thus better relieving the pressure of the line card system memory and providing a better basis for implementation of the automatic update function.
