The invention relates to a bed that is adjustable for birth in vertical and intermediate positions and that additionally can be used in the pre-partum and post-partum stages, which includes: a support structure consisting of: a base structure that is made of a plurality of metal pieces; a seat frame that is attached to the upper part of the base structure; a backrest that is attached such that it pivots around a rotating shaft arranged on the base structure; and a support bar that is attached to each end of the seat frame, wherein said support bar extends transversally to the adjustable bed along the outside of the front end thereof at a certain height, and wherein said adjustable bed additionally includes: a seat cushion on the seat frame; a backrest cushion attached to the backrest; a pillow cushion attached to the back end of the backrest; lateral covers attached to the sides of the support structure; and two support elements serving as feet attached to each side of the support bar.
