Provided is a cognitive Single-Input Multi-Output (SIMO) network access method base on cooperative relay, which includes that a cognitive base station collects channel responses in the network, and judges whether a cognitive user can co-operate with the communication of the primary user to achieve target transmission rate required by the primary user, if yes, the cognitive SIMO network accessing the licensed band of the primary user, and if not, then not accessing. The type of access pattern enables multiple cognitive users at the same geographic location to use the same licensed band together with the primary user for communication, while ensuring the premise of the target transmission rate of the primary user, thereby improving spectrum efficiency as far as possible. Because the type of access pattern is based on the cooperative communication, the network throughput achieved by the cognitive network is larger while the distance between the cognitive network and the primary user network is smaller, and a large scale of network coverage can be achieved, which makes up the deficiency of prior cognitive radio access patterns.
