An intelligent robot may comprise: a database for saving user information and interaction history information; a sensing portion for receiving multi-modal sensor information related to at least one user, specify the at least one user by comparing the multi-modal sensor information and the user information, and outputting location information and expression information for each of the at least one user by using the multi-modal sensor information; a determination portion for determining a user of interest from the at least one user, based on the interaction history information, the multi-modal sensor information, the location information, and the expression information; a control data processing portion for generating control data for performing the interaction with the user of interest; and an actuation portion that is actuated by using the control data.
