PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a ship propulsion device in which the curved plates at the tip of propeller blades is provided to easily obtain the accuracy on the installation and gap maintaining of a groove of a duct and curved plates by independently installing each curved plate at the tip of each blade. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a ship propulsion device in which the curved plates at the top of propeller blades is as follows. A groove(10) is formed in the inner surface of a duct at a predetermined depth. A hatch cover is installed in the duct. The duct and a propeller(4) are coupled in a single body and the coupled body is installed in a hull. The hatch cover is removed. Each curved plate(20) is attached in a gap where the hatch cover is removed by bolts at the tip of each blade while rotating the propeller. The curved plates are completely inserted in the groove of the duct. The hatch cover is covered.
