PURPOSE: A multiphase disk motor for an SF6 gas blast circuit breaker and a motor control method thereof are provided to wind a coil of a multiphase on a stator and a rotor by forming the stator and the rotor into a disk shape. CONSTITUTION: A disk motor(10) includes a housing(11), a rotor(13), a stator(14), a sensor(15), and a cable(16). The housing includes an axis(12) embedded around the center. The axis is connected with a breaker side. The rotor is installed on an outer surface of the axis. The stator includes plural permanent magnets formed in a radial form from the center of circumference. The sensor senses the revolution of the axis.
