PURPOSE: A sight mounting device for a machine gun is provided to prevent the separation of a sight mounting unit by adding a mounting unit separation preventing unit and by removing a portion which interferes with a backsight.;CONSTITUTION: A sight mounting device for a machine gun comprises a backsight protection unit(100), a sight mounting unit(200), and a mounting unit separation preventing device(300). The backsight protection unit comprises a supporting member(110), a backsight mounting member(120), a backsight(130), and a mounting unit coupling member(140). The backsight mounting unit is formed at the upper end of one side of the supporting member. The backsight is rotatably coupled to the backsight protection unit. The mounting unit coupling member is formed at the upper end of the other side of the supporting member. A protection unit coupling member(210) of the mounting unit is formed into the shape of a rail and is slidingly coupled to the backsight protection unit. The mounting unit separation preventing device comprises a bolt(310) and a stopper(320). The bolt couples the mounting coupling member of the backsight protection unit and the protection unit coupling member of the sight mounting unit.
