METHOD FOR CLASSIFYING DOCUMENT BY USING ONTOLOGY AND APPARATUS THEREFOR

PURPOSE: An ontology based document classification method and a device are provided to express structure of a document involved in each classification with ontology and extract a relation attribute among entities from the document, thereby determining the classification through comparison with an ontology structure. CONSTITUTION: An entity name extraction module(402) reads a document and extracts an entity. An entity relation extraction module(404) extracts a relation among entities. An instance filling module(406) maps entity-class and entity-attribute entity. A document class determination module(408) calculates similarity between ontology and the document based on a filling result. The document class determination module outputs an ontology field having the biggest similarity.
