PURPOSE: A transmission cut-off control device of heavy construction equipment and a control method thereof are provided to improve the convenience of a driver, workability, and productivity by automatically converting a clutch cut-off function according to a work mode.;CONSTITUTION: A transmission cut-off control device of heavy construction equipment includes a displacement sensor (120), a vehicle control unit (110), a transmission control unit (140), a driving control proportional valve block (150), and a brake pressure sensor (160). The displacement sensor senses the height of a boom. The vehicle control unit receives a sensing signal of the displacement sensor. The transmission control unit is connected to the vehicle control unit and controls a transmission clutch cut-off function. The driving control proportional valve block is connected to the transmission control unit and controls the driving. The brake pressure sensor is connected to the transmission control unit and senses the pressure of a brake pedal.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
