PURPOSE: A vessel-area heteroplasia amplitude signature generation method capable of expressing heteroplasia in a vessel-area in a tissue cell image is provided to extract distinctive characteristics by expressing the changes in a curve effectively. CONSTITUTION: A tissue cell image is inputted (S10). From the tissue cell image, a vessel boundary is extracted (S20). The boundary a convex hull is obtained (S30). An ideal boundary is scaled by the size of the vessel boundary. Based on the ideal boundary and the vessel boundary, the heteroplasia amplitude is measured (S40).
