PURPOSE: A microwave plasma gasifier and a gasification method are provided to improve gasification efficiency by increasing contact time between plasma flame and fuel and adjusting the mixing ratio of steam, oxygen, and fuel. CONSTITUTION: A gas supply chamber (10) is supplied with plasma generation gas. A plasma generation device (20) includes a Quartz tube connected to the gas supply chamber and generates plasma flame. A microwave source (21) is provided with power and generates microwaves. A waveguide (22) maximizes output electric fields by condensing microwaves with high density. A plasma controller (23) controls the microwave generation power of the microwave source. A fuel supply chamber (30) is formed with a ring type fuel injector in a perpendicular path and has a fuel supply pipe (32) on the side thereof. The gas supply chamber, the fuel supply chamber, and a gasification chamber (40) are installed on the same vertical axis and connect to an internal path. [Reference numerals] (AA) Steam
