PURPOSE: A novel protein isolated from novel Penibacillus sp. is provided to develop biopolymers, foods, and feed. CONSTITUTION: A xylanase has an amino acid sequence of sequence number 4. A strain producing xylanase is Paenibacillus sp. HPL-003(deposit number KCTC 18179P). A polynucleotide encoding the xylanase has a base sequence of sequence number 3. A recombinant expression vector contains the polynucleotide encoding xylanase. A method for producing the xylanase comprises: a step of introducing the recombinant expression vector to a host cell to prepare a tranformant; a step of culturing the transformant; and a step of centrifuging to collect crude enzyme liquid.
